Meet our leadership team

Sebastian Seiguer


Sebastian is CEO and co-founder of emocha and responsible for overall company strategy and management. Prior to emocha, he was CEO and co-founder of a German retail chain that scaled nationally to over 25 locations and more than 200 employees.

Lamar Smith


Lamar ensures that emocha’s internal operations run smoothly so that we can best serve our customers. He has 20 years of experience implementing and scaling member and provider services for Medicaid and commercial populations at United, Optum, and CareSource.

Morad Elmi


Morad is responsible for business development and new partnership efforts. Prior to emocha, he managed a legislative portfolio of domestic and international issues for several years in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Amanda Allen


Amanda leads all user interface and experience design at emocha. She is an expert in human-centered design methodology and has designed mobile and web applications for breast cancer, diabetes, HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis C, outbreak monitoring, and opioid use disorder.

Carl Kirts


Carl is responsible for overarching growth of emocha, which includes sales, strategic partnerships, new markets and marketing initiatives. He has deep experience in healthcare technology-enabled sales, go-to-market strategy and strategic alliances across a variety of healthcare technology solutions. He has been instrumental in the development of telehealth and population health solutions companies such as VISICU and Wellcentive that were purchased by Philips Healthcare and Carena that was purchased by American Well.  Carl has a specialized interest in understanding customer needs and then developing strategies to match those needs to solutions.

Ramon Castro


Ramon is responsible for Software Development in our Web Portals and Backend Services, and works to set up and maintain our AWS infrastructure. He has 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, and has been working in the Healthcare Software domain for the past 3 years.

Michelle Mendes

Sr. Director, Patient Solutions

Michelle has 10 years of experience working with providers and patients to promote healthy behavior change. She comes from a social marketing and communications background, and has worked with health systems and policymakers.
