Within the United States, the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise each day. In order to effectively combat the pandemic, we must continue to practice social distancing, wash our hands, and mask properly. The topic of double masking has received renewed interest as an extra precaution — yet experts note that while wearing two masks at once may help, the more pressing problem is getting people to consistently wear even one mask. An article in Insider explains that wearing one quality, properly fitted mask is better than wearing two poorly fitted ones, or wearing two masks improperly.
