Scope of this Privacy Policy

emocha is a mobile health software platform being used as a tool for your school to screen your health during the COVID-19 pandemic to maintain a safe school environment. We act as a service provider to your school, and we receive, maintain, use, and disclose data on their behalf and as limited by our agreements with them. This Privacy Policy does not reflect the privacy practices of any third-party entities and providers using our platform, and we are not responsible for their privacy policies or practices. Please contact your school if you have questions about their privacy policies and practices.

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

We collect several types of information from and about users and visitors of our Website and App, including information:

  • by which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and COVID-19 related health information such as temperature, cough, and any other symptoms you experience and report to us (“personal information”);
  • that is about you but individually does not identify you; and/or
  • about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Website or App and usage details.

We collect this information:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.

We Do Not Collect Information from Children

Our Website and App are not intended for independent use by children. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. As you navigate through and interact with our Website, we may automatically collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, including:

Your information may also be combined with that of other Students in your school to allow your Administrator and/or school to assess the overall safety of your school environment.

However, if you withdraw your consent for emocha to use or disclose your information with your school, your school may already have information you have submitted in the past and emocha cannot control how your school uses or discloses that information in the future. When we delete personal information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives, and we may also retain anonymous information about your use of our services and products. Once we disclose any of your personal information to third parties, we cannot access that personal information any longer and cannot force the deletion or modification of any such information by the parties to whom we have made those disclosures.  After we delete personal information, we may retain anonymous information and will continue to use such anonymous information as permitted under this Privacy Policy.
