As COVID-19 restrictions loosen, Baltimore-area employers are looking to tech-based tools as a way to bring their employees back to work. The emocha platform is one in a number of tools being used to screen employees for symptoms of COVID-19, or to allow employers to contact trace and identify who from a workplace may have been exposed to someone infected. The City of Baltimore will be using emocha’s mobile app and an on-site kiosk for its employees across 30 agencies, who will self-screen before entering the workplace and receive a digital badge indicating whether they can return to work. “This digital badge not only reduces the exposure and risk inherent in workplace temperature and symptom screening programs, but also expedites reentry into the workplace,” said emocha Health CEO Sebastian Seigeur.
